Intro to Robotics & AI Module

Problem-solving is another important skill that is highly ranked in our teach savvy society. The ability to understand the root problem, and come up with a solution is a skill that is too often overlooked by many people.

The hands-on program is using programmable mobile and stationary robots that are a medium to develop, demonstrate problem-solving, and coding capabilities. This program encourages hands-on play and learning that makes creative problem-solving concrete and tangible.

Subjects covered:

Block-based programming, problem solving, creativity, scope, and sequence, applied robotics in math and geometry, motion, collaboration, game design, trajectories, and foundation for scientific thinking.

What’s included?

A typical Robotics & AI Module includes mobile and stationary robots, tablets and software to program them, curriculum, and accessories.

Intro to Coding Module

Developing computational thinking and critical thinking skills is one of the main building blocks for coding, programming and eventually autonomous machines.

The hands-on program is using robot-blocks that don’t need computers in order to be programmed. Each block is a computer function, with its own input and output. Students learn about computer programs by snapping blocks together and building robots that can interact with the environment.

Subjects covered:

Sensors, Actuators, Logic, Cause and Effect, Critical Thinking, Computational Thinking, introduction to robotics and autonomous systems. For advanced students: intro to block-based programming.

What’s included?

A typical AI Station includes act, sense, and think robotic blocks, tablets, and software to program them, curriculum and accessories.

Intro to Engineering Module

Understanding the inner workings of robots is essential in a world filled with robots. Everything from gear ratio and torque to linear vs angular motion, over to the control level which involves sensors and software needs to play in harmony in order to achieve a useful, working robot.

This program encourages students to create robots from building blocks, look into the machine, modify it, and come up with new solutions to solve the same problem.

Subjects covered:

Basic Engineering concepts, building robots, gears, linear and angular motion, sensors, motors, rigid and flexible designs, control and enforcement mechanisms in software and hardware.

What’s included?

A typical Intro to Engineering module includes various robot kits, assembly and building instructions, tablets, and software to program them, curriculum and accessories.
